Think many of us have seen the clip of the shark entering the diver's cage! It certainly is sensational.
What I find interesting is what captures people's interest in this clip. For some it is the poor diver. What an experience and in so many ways they are lucky to be alive! For some it was for the onlookers, watching the scene and potential horror unfold. There are also those that feel sorry for the shark who was chasing food and got caught in a cage designed to keep it out not in! There were those that felt for the ones working at the time, and who acted quickly to minimise any potential problems.
What did you see when you watched the clip and how did you feel? Where was your attention taken and sympathy given? Perception is something we bring to events. We don't usually feel the same way about events.
